Ted Cillis

Drafted by the Kansas City Royals in the 33rd round as a left-handed pitcher in June 2018. During the 2018 season, played for the Arizona Royals, then was assigned to the Burlington Royals, and completed the season with the Idaho Falls Chukars.  Assigned to the Lexington Legends for the 2019 season where they were the South Atlantic League Champions.  In 35 relief appearances,compiled a 3.20 ERA in 66.1 IP.

Graduated from Hofstra University where he was a two-way player as a pitcher and outfielder.  He set
the school’s single season strikeout record with 96 strikeouts in 75 innings (11.5 K/9), including a single game school record of 16 strikeouts in 7 IP.  Ranked 28th in the nation for strikeouts per game.  CAA player of the week, named First Team All Colonial Athletic Association for two consecutive years.  He leaves Hofstra ranked second in school history in strikeouts for a pitcher (having only pitched 2 seasons)
and ranked eighth all time with 20 home runs as a batter.

Graduated from Christian Brothers Academy, Albany, NY, where he played baseball and football and was awarded the Martin P. Pedlow Outstanding Athlete Award. .
